Elders

The Bible tells us that elders lead churches (Titus 1:5, 1 Tim 3:1-13). We have an eldership team which serves, cares, teaches and prays for the church. We don't believe in the pastor/priest/vicar model of leadership which focusses on one main leader. The elders work in team and lead the church equally and together, alongside deacons and our friendship with Christ Central who care and support us. See below for a brief introduction to who are Elders are.

Who are we and what do we believe?

In 2012, Allen & Sarah Rossi began gathering a team of people to help plant Grace Church. A number of these people were part of King's Church Cockermouth which Allen also served as an elder. Their vision was clear, 'To make Christ known to neighbours and nations by creating a loving, reaching, disciple making and serving church.

We are a church who gather people from all over West Cumbria; serving Maryport, Cockermouth area, Workington, Whitehaven, Egremont and Cleator Moor. However, everyone is welcome!

We are a bible believing and Spirit filled church who are passionate about Jesus and the good news of salvation found through him. To know more click here. Our aim is to be a church where God can change lives through His son Jesus, whatever your background, whatever you believe, whatever your age and whatever questions you have. We realise that coming to church can be a strange thing but we are a relaxed bunch of people who will make you feel welcome. If you visit, we will have one thing in common...we were all new to the church at some point! Small group info
